   Here you have my public notice-board created with Padlet. I have posted the links to the materials and apps I found interesting for learning and teaching purposes, especially for teaching the English language. https://padlet.com/albarco95/ejzbpc281mq5    First of all, I share three useful apps for learning English (Beelingo, Babbel and Memrise) that offer the users very different services.    Secondly, I share three apps not just for teaching or learning English but as a support for controlling the students (Classdojo), for helping students to assimilate some contents (Memory trainer) or for creating video material with our students' works (iMovie).    Furthermore, I have included different lesson plans ready for printing and use in class provided by popular websites as onestopenglish, busyteacher and theteachercorner.   Finally, I have include different interesting article related to the teaching of En...

Teaching English: the best blog in my field

                   I have chosen as a good blog in my field the one of an English teacher that works in a high school in Los Barrios (Cádiz):   https://mercigd.wordpress.com/                       This is a perfect tool that helps every student regardless of his/her abilities. It offers a lot of activities with their solutions so students can practice their weakness at home. Moreover, this teacher uses the blog to communicate with the family of the students.                          Furthermore, the teacher uses the blog as a platform to share information and material with those students who are going to take the TRINITY EXAMS. Also, the teacher encourages the students not to use a translator but a dictionary and provides them a list of useful ones.

Which CMS do I prefer and why?

          There are many different Content Management  Systems (CMS): Joomla, Drupal, WordPress, PHP-Nuke, SPIP, Zikula, Moodle and VLE.           I have checked all the links from the different software site creators the teacher provides me and I prefer the ones created using  Joomla  http://iesleonardoalacant.edu.gva.es/web/   and Mestre a casa  http://mestreacasa.gva.es/web/ieshaygon.                       I prefer them because they present a clear distribution as well as they are visually attractive, browsing on them is a natural way and very easy because their different items are well classified.

CMS --> Joomla!

  Joomla is a Content Management System (CMS), that is to say, a software that enables you to build, organize, manage and publish content for websites, blogs, Intranets and mobile applications. A relevant characteristic of it is that is totally freely available to everyone.     Among the core features, we find that Joomla is a multilingual platform that offers more than 70 languages. Moreover, the uploads are just installed in a click and it has some tools to manage and organise files and folders, to add advertisements and contacts. If you are designer or developer it has more features adapted to those roles. Finally, what marks a milestone is that it gives its users the chance to edit content without any knowledge of code. https://extensions.joomla.org/category/ads-a-affiliates/jobs-a-recruitment/     I have chosen the extension of jobs and recruitment since it supposes a great tool for Human Resources teams helping busin...
