CLOUD: Advantages and Disadvantages.
The cloud, a general term for the delivery of hosted services over the internet, enables companies to consume a compute resource, such as a virtual machine, storage or an application, as a utility -- just like electricity -- rather than having to build and maintain computing infrastructures in-house.
The cloud utilities I use every day are Google Drive Documents to work in group with my classmates that do not live in my city and when I was at the high school, I used Dropbox since a teacher shared all the handouts of his subject on this platform.

On the one hand, the cloud presents many advantages, but the main ones are convenience and reliability. Saving a file to the cloud ensures that you'll be able to access it with any computer that has an internet connection. The cloud also makes it much easier to share a file with other people, making it possible to collaborate over the internet. Also, an important point is that The cloud provider is responsible for technical maintenance of its own servers and if a cloud user needs more or less processing power or storage, cloud provider would provide near real-time
Furthermore, with the cloud, you're much less likely to lose your data, since it is stored on servers but you have to remember the importance of choosing a strong password and paying attention to any privacy settings for the service you're using.
On the other hand, one of the most evident disadvantages is the lack of control that the user has over the service provided; as servers are based most of the times out of the reach of the customer, both physical and legal. Most of these servers are set up in distant countries and there are not offices next to you. Moreover, companies are subjected only to the law of those countries, which maybe do not cover the basic rights of a consumer. Besides, as some of the services are free of charge, the liability of the provider is limited.
